About the Program.

A modification to the Maltese Citizenship Act passed in 2020 may allow for Maltese Citizenship by Exceptional Services. The regulations allowing affluent persons of impeccable reputation and repute to be naturalized and gain Maltese citizenship on the basis of a contribution to and investment in Malta were promulgated by Legal Notice 437 of 2020 (Granting of Citizenship for Exceptional Services Regulations). Direct investment applications under these regulations are limited to four hundred (400) per year and one thousand five hundred (1,500) in total..

To be eligible for citizenship of Malta under its Citizenship by Investment Programme, there are three options to choose from.

DUE DILIGENCE & BACKGROUND CHECKS

Compulsory background checks are payable to the Government who appoints a preferred due diligence agency. These agencies use various international and local sources such as Interpol, World-Check and other Government agencies. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
